Kai Liang (Russell) joined the Self-aware Complex Systems Lab in Spring 2018 after receiving his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Fall 2017. During his undergraduate studies, he interned at the Bobcat Company and Danfoss Power Solutions. His research interests included using deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision to solve problems in engineering, cyber-physical systems, and autonomous systems. His creativity extends beyond academics to photography, digital art, and strategy video games.
He graduated from the SCS Lab in August 2022 and is currently a GPU Software Development Engineer at Intel.
Research interests: Deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision
